Leave the lace alone for a day. Match it to the bundles in daylight, then decide the part. A hairline can be plucked once. It cannot be unplucked.
Open the parcel onto a clean table. Look at the lace, the knots, and the wave beside the bundles you ordered with it. Daylight, not the lamp over the sink. If the wave does not belong to the same head, you will see it before you sew anything down.
The order we give a client
Decide the part first. Pluck only where you are sure, a few hairs at a time, and stop while there is still a hairline. Tint the lace with a thin layer of your usual foundation. Then install. Washing, cutting, and a silk press can wait until the frontal is on and you can see the real length.
- Do not cut the lace to the hairline before the first install. Leave a margin you can trim on the head.
- Baby hairs that arrive long can be trimmed. They cannot be added back.
- Keep the spare lace in the bag it came in. You will want it if you ever re-front the unit.
If the hair is not the one you ordered, write before you alter it. Altered lace cannot come back. Shop frontals when you are ready to order.

Wash day for a body wave
A body wave does not need a weekly intervention. It needs cool water, a sulfate-free shampoo, and the patience to detangle before the hair is fully wet.

How to read a lace cap
HD is thinner. Transparent is a little more forgiving on deeper skin if you tint it. Neither one will save a hairline that was plucked down to the mesh.
