A body wave does not need a weekly intervention. It needs cool water, a sulfate-free shampoo, and the patience to detangle before the hair is fully wet.
Start at the ends. A wide-tooth comb, the hair still dry, working up toward the weft. Water swells the strand and makes a knot harder, not easier. If you shampoo a tangle, you felt it into the wave.
What we actually use
Cool water. Our hydration shampoo, once, through the lengths and not ground into the lace or the weft track. A rinse until the slip is gone. Then the leave-in mist, a light pass, and the hair set on a stand or over a chair back. A towel turban overnight creases the wave and holds the water in the cuticle.
- Flat iron under 180°C, and not every morning. Virgin hair remembers heat.
- No silicone bath and no “shine” serum that coats the strand. The wave already has its own.
- Sleep on satin. A cotton pillowcase is a quiet way to rough the cuticle.
If a later wash does not match the hair you ordered, write to us with the order number and a photograph in daylight. Shop body wave when you want that same movement.

How to read a lace cap
HD is thinner. Transparent is a little more forgiving on deeper skin if you tint it. Neither one will save a hairline that was plucked down to the mesh.

Why length labels lie
A curly bundle measured stretched is not the length you will see in the mirror. We label resting length for curls and stretched length for straight and body wave, and we say which is which.
